ROLE IMPACT
The Administrative Assistant supports daily operations within a City of Fort Worth department, ensuring efficient execution of clerical, HR, and budgetary tasks. This role is pivotal in sustaining departmental workflow, vendor coordination, and internal communications, directly contributing to operational consistency and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support, including data entry, call handling, and records management
• Respond to inquiries from staff, vendors, and the public; research and provide accurate information
• Assist with payroll processing, staffing records, and new hire tracking
• Monitor supply inventories, prepare requisitions, and manage purchase orders
• Support annual budget preparation and ongoing expenditure tracking
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or related field
• 4+ years’ experience in administrative or clerical support
• Knowledge of municipal budgeting, HR practices, and contract compliance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internal database systems
