We are looking for an entry-level Accountant with a minimum of three years of experience to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Burlington, Washington, and offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in key accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and a proven ability to handle reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of financial transactions.
• Utilize Excel spreadsheets to analyze and report financial data.
• Ensure compliance with GASB standards and other applicable regulations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Identify discrepancies and resolve them in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
• Provide support for audits and other financial reviews as needed.• Minimum of three years of accounting experience in a setting requiring attention to detail.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of general ledger processes and journal entries.
• Familiarity with GASB standards and their application.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
